Pathway 1 has been extensively carried out in many of the FAIR for ALL (F4A) projects through different approaches. This pathway focuses on sustaining an inclusive and women-centered or women-led business practice at scale, focusing on livelihood support and empowerment of community members, usually grassroots women. To strengthen the quality of the programming and influencing, there is a need to create a venue to internalize and leverage insights gained from the F4A Mid-Term Review Report, outcome harvesting, and regional learning events. With this, a Peer-to-Peer Learning Series on Pathway 1 was conducted, bringing together F4A practitioners to discuss best practices, share experiences, and learn from one another about the lessons and challenges encountered during the implementation of the F4A Programme.

The first session of the Learning Series, Women’s Grassroots Empowerment: Leading Transformative and Systems Change in Value Chains, was conducted last 26 June 2024 highlighting the importance of sustaining inclusive, women-centered, and women-led business practices at scale. Panel members of the session were Susan Gamwino, Dilshad Tamboli, Emmy Astuti, Kham Yin, and Adong Josephine as the Keynote Response.

The second session held on 31 July 2024, Grassroots Women as Drivers of Change:  Transforming Community Resilience and the Care Economy, was a showcase of the respective experiences of the speakers, Violet Shivutse, Doreen Magotsi, and Susan Gamwino, on how empowering grassroots women’s has significantly transformed communities, livelihoods, and well-being of women and their families.

The last session, Grassroots Women Working with the Private Sector and Influencing Value Chains, took place on 04 September 2024. This session focused on how grassroots women are working with the private sector and how they are influencing value chains. Partner Speakers Maya Shalabi, Solomon Kusi Ampofo, Aggrey Chombe, and Pan Sopheap shared their organization’s and community’s experiences on said topic.
