Highlights from the Cross-Country Learning Exchange on Women’s Economic Empowerment

As part of the recently concluded Cross-Country Learning Exchange on Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE)—hosted by Oxfam’s WEE Knowledge Hub, Oxfam Pilipinas, Oxfam in Indonesia, and Oxfam Penabulu—partners from the Fair for All program in Indonesia shared groundbreaking experiences that put women’s leadership at the heart of inclusive and sustainable trade.

Representatives from the Laikang and Ujung Baji seaweed farming communities delivered one of the most powerful sessions of the three-day event, showcasing how women and youth are reshaping local economies, challenging gender norms, and building fairer value chains from the ground up.
