Women’s Land Rights are fundamental human rights, foundational to gender equality and women’s dignity, improving food security, effective climate action, poverty eradication, and sustainable economic growth. The Government of Uganda like many states across the globe recognizes the importance of secure women’s land rights and has put in place gender responsive legislative frameworks to advance WLR. However, these largely remain in blue print yet to be fulfilled and implemented to transform women and girls’ lives.
